The latest version of Escape from Tarkov The Shoreline Card Guide
Update 07/2020: Added the locations of the caches (buried barrel and
ground cache).

Here is the biggest map in the game Escape From Tarkov:
Shoreline (Coastline).
It immerses the player in a universe where nature is very present. Indeed,
this marine coastline is made up of fairly substantial vegetation as well as
fields, all located near a port. We will be able to find many buildings: a
small marina, a gas station, a weather station, several villages and abandoned
houses, a hydroelectric power station, and finally a gigantic hotel complex.
The map can accommodate eight to thirteen players, which is not much
considering the size of the map. Naturally, Scavs are present there.
Before starting to go into the details of the map, a little precision is
necessary. At first glance, you might only see Shoreline through her best loot
area: the resort.
However, it is the densest area of the map with a lot of fights between
players. So, for beginners or those who are cautious in PvP, getting there can
be dangerous. But the developers have thought through the map well enough that
players who don't want to go can still get their fill of Loot.
So let's start this tour of the loot areas. The names we use are taken from
the map below and will be intentionally left in English so that we can keep
the correct benchmarks.

In addition, in order to be complete, we made a small inventory of the
"loot" present in the various crates: weapon crates, military crates,
grenade boxes, cabinets, safes, drawers, computers, and medical bags. In
order not to overload you with information, we have deliberately excluded:
jackets, sports bags, toolboxes, wooden boxes, cash registers, and the loot
on the ground.
Thus, we played several raids and systematically looted the same crates to
know the different weapons and objects that could "spawn" there. To be clear
and concise, we present to you only the five best "loots" of the various
raids. Knowing that each area has been visited via at least ten raids (see
more for some)!
WEAPON HOUSE

Located right next to the complex, this wooden house sits on top of a small
hill. It contains two-weapon containers. It really is a very interesting
place, with a good chance it won't get looted and full of interesting weapons.
In addition, no Scav squares this area.

And here's the likely loot you might find there:

SWAMP (THE SWAMP)
In the swamp, we will find an abandoned village, which at first glance is
not very interesting. Indeed, the area is not very attractive with its swamp
which slows down our progress. However, we can find some containers there.
Up in the swamp, near the fence, there are two wooden crates with ammunition
and some mods. But beware, one or two Scavs roam there regularly!
Within the village itself, one of the houses will house two wooden crates
(one outside and the other inside), a military crate, and a box of
ammunition. Right next to this house, near the pickup, is a gun crate.
Another house houses two wooden crates and the chapel has one.
After taking the census, the gun box near the pickup truck was empty 90% of
the time! There are two hypotheses: either it was simply already looted
before my visit, or the algorithm that manages the appearance of weapons in
the crate causes the "spawn" to be very low. I am in favor of the second
hypothesis because I have hardly ever seen anyone there.
Especially since, on the contrary, the wooden crate located in the house
turned out to be richer in loot and almost never emptied ...
To be sure, an offline census could have been done, however, we explain a
little later in the article why the offline mode is incompatible with our
census.
The census gave this loot:
VILLAGE AND DOWNTOWN (VILLAGE AND DOWNTOWN)
In this village, you can explore most of the houses to collect jackets, sports
bags, wooden crates, a bag of medicines, and a crate of weapons. There are
also three cash registers with a few rules, but take care to eliminate the
Scavs present there. This area can be considered unattractive due to the
low-quality loot and its low weapons case. And note that exploring houses can
be very noisy.
COTTAGES
On the other hand, on the edge of the city, a house is very interesting. It
houses on its own: two sports bags, two jackets, a computer, and the most
interesting: two safes and two-weapon cabinets! Suffice to say that his visit
is profitable. But nevertheless, it is well guarded, because two or three
Scavs carry out rounds.
And here's the likely loot you might find there:
Note that in the house, in a laundry room, there is a key box hanging on the
wall where you can get the SCAN 220 key which is very rare!
SCAV ISLAND (SCAV ISLAND)
When we reach the sea, we notice a large beached barge which gives us access
to an island: the Isle of the Scavs. Its name announces the color, plan to
be greeted by 3 or 4 Scavs.
Its access can be dangerous because the passage on the barge is very noisy
and you are completely in the open, a good sniper will not miss you ...
But the game is worth the candle because there are many rewards there,
especially for his two bags of medicine, two crates of weapons, and three
wooden crates.
TERMINAL
Approaching the hotel complex, we find the terminal. The loot is interesting
but under very good guard with no less than two or three Scavs protecting
the entrance to the small building. However, we can easily find a high
position in the rocks to eliminate them quite easily.
The reward will be two jackets, a cash register, a dead Scav, a gun box, and
above all a drawer unit! The latter is very practical for finding all kinds
of keys, various items, ranging from Rolex to Bitcoin for the lucky ones.
Also, with the resort being right next door, expect to see a few players
arriving who are attracted to noise and fond of PvP.
POWER STATION
Separated by the river, the "Power station" is one of the crossing points on a
West / East axis of the map. As a result, there are three or four Scavs
securing the area.
Basically, the area isn't really interesting: an ammo crate, two jackets, a
duffel bag, and three toolboxes. Nothing worth fighting with the Scavs.
However, in the building, there is a room upstairs which obviously contains a
crate of weapons. You probably need a key to access it.
Small minus point for those who are cautious in PvP: this location is directly
on a player's route from the resort to a possible extraction point such as
LightHouse or PierBoat.
GAS STATION (STATION SERVICE)
Located at the seaside, not far from “Power Station”, the “Gas Station”
obviously has nothing to offer… Mumm weird, in view of the two or three
Scavs which make the rounds around a service station devastated by flames.
It is that these flames actually hide some secrets. Mysteries are accessible
only to those who are well equipped in care because it is necessary to cross
these flames to reach them.
After having thus lost between 15 and 30 points of life in each area of your
body, you gain access to two boxes of weapons, a safe and a cash register.
Thanks to the obstacle of the flames, there is a good chance that the place
will not be looted.
However, if you do it right, it is possible to pass without taking any
damage! For that, it is necessary to be glued to the bay window and to pass
as quickly as possible.
So in the end for a return trip through the flames, by our calculations, allow
an amount of about 300 to 320 points of healing to heal yourself completely.
And if you have a limited amount of care, consider focusing on your legs in
order to be able to take off quickly!
PIER (THE PIER)
"Pier" is a pier with a small harbor. It is a place that houses two
extraction points: Pier Boat and Lighthouse. So you might as well say that
the chance or the risk of seeing a player pass is great.
The main building is very interesting with three drawers, two chests, two
PCs, and a cash register. However, since the drawer units are directly at
the entrance of the building, be sure to cover your back.
One or two Scavs may roam the area.
WEATHER STATION
This is the most interesting place, after the hotel complex of course. When
going there, always assume that someone is already or should be walking
there soon.
What earned him this enthusiasm is inside the building: on the ground floor
we have a sports bag and a medicine bag; as for the floor, three cabinets
with drawers, a safe and a PC. Outside there is a crate of weapons and a
wooden crate waiting for you, and at the top of the tower, there is a
grenade crate.
Note that the height of the place and its tower can offer a perfect point of
view for all fans of long-range weapons.
THE HOTEL COMPLEX
This is THE area that is the most interesting and dense in terms of objects
and weapons to find. This place is a former hotel complex which is now
abandoned. It is composed of three parts: the entrance (admin) in the center
which serves two wings, East and West. The two wings are composed of 2 floors
each, there are a basement and roofs.
You will understand, this building is really big! For the record, the complex
is inspired by a real building, a former spa resort, located in Russia near
Saint Petersburg.
The different floors are made up of a multitude of rooms. And here is the
particularity of this place: you will need the keys of the rooms to be able
to recover their contents. However, there are some that are accessible to
everyone, but with inevitably less important loot. The locked rooms have
high-value content.
And who says valuable loot, necessarily says Scav in the area but also many
players who came around for the same reason as you.
Before going around, we point out that no loot census has been taken at
this location for several reasons:
-
To begin with, we can say that this census can be done offline, it
does not present any risk and with non-looted cases for sure. Sure,
but after testing it, we found that the objects were completely
identical almost every time! The explanation we do not have, the
appearance algorithm is obviously not the same between "offline" and
"online".
-
Then, online, the risk of being killed is here necessarily much higher
than in other areas. And so, having a census of the entire area is
also statistically low, knowing that if a fund is missing, the census
cannot be used.
-
Then, the complex being the main PvP area of the game, the crates,
bags, and other drawers are very lucky to have already been looted
before our visit ...
-
And finally, making a census of the five best loots out of a total of
ten raids, and this on all the rooms, is too much work. By the way,
buying all the keys at the "Flea market" to update the resort map cost
us between five and six million rubles in total!
Here is a map of the rooms of the hotel complex. Basically, it dates from
February 2018 (produced by Marvel in), then updated in May 2018, and since
then nothing ... So it was time to fix it! Here it is updated:
HOTEL COMPLEX: WEST WING
The West Wing (West Wing Floor on the map) consists of a basement with a
swimming pool (West Wing Floor -1), a ground floor (West Wing Floor 1), and
two floors ( West Wing Floor 2 and 3) as well as an accessible roof.
The first floor (West Wing Floor 2) is going to be very interesting because
no less than eight rooms have at least one crate probably containing a
weapon. Unfortunately, there are only two that do not need a key. That said,
think of room 208, accessible to all, which houses three weapon crates in
itself. It is accessible via room 206 and after some damage due to barbed
wire!
The particularity of the second floor (West Wing Floor 3), it is obstructed
in the middle by impassable flows. To pass, we have no other choice but to
go around, go down the first floor, and go up the other staircase… Did you
want to be discreet? It missed…
Basement (West Wing Floor -1)
Ground Floor (West Wing Floor 1)
1st floor (West Wing Floor 2)
2nd floor (West Wing Floor 3)
The roof
Tip: Some rooms communicate via the balcony. Before buying a key, be
sure to check if the key to the next room is available for purchase, and if
so, if it is not cheaper!
HOTEL COMPLEX: THE EAST WING
The East Wing (East Wing Floor on the map) is identical to the Westside except
that its basement is not accessible. It, therefore, has a ground floor (East
Wing Floor 1) and two floors (East Wing Floor 2, 3) as well as its roof, which
is also accessible.
Here too the first floor (East Wing Floor 2) is the most successful with seven
rooms and the hallway which have crates with "maybe" weapons. The advantage of
this floor is that only three of its seven rooms are locked. So even a
beginner, with only a key, can find what he is looking for, as long as he
leaves alive of course ...
Ground Floor (East Wing Floor 1)
1st floor (East Wing Floor 2)
2nd floor (East Wing Floor 3)
The roof
Warning: watch your feet carefully, because there are sometimes gaping holes
in the ground, in both wings of the complex.
HIDDEN LOCATIONS
As updates have gone on, the developers have added caches on the maps,
that is, small containers hidden in the ground, such as buried barrels and
other caches on the ground.
These containers are quite small, the underground barrels have 12 boxes and
the ground caches are a bit larger with 16 boxes. Despite their modest size,
they can be well filled with many
EFT items.
To find these caches you can use this map:
On the Coastline map (Shoreline), we can, therefore, count a total of 39
caches! However, the locations or photos on this map are sometimes
approximate. It is not always easy to find them, even with the latter.
To complete it, there is the eftmkg.com site map. It's an interactive map
with the exact location of the caches! It is therefore much more precise.
So, here are some examples of loots that can be found in these caches:
These caches are really interesting, you can find all kinds of objects or
weapons! So do not hesitate to take the small detour necessary to find
them.
Finally, we strongly advise you to play a game offline, in order to spot
them all. Because circling around in a row for 5 minutes to find it can be
risky; indeed you will not be the only one to stop there.

In the swamp, we will find an abandoned village, which at first glance is
